HC Deb 10 November 1970 vol 806 c121W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make representations to the Government of the Republic of Ireland about the destination of Government gifts for relief work to organisations within the United Kingdom, in order to ensure that such funds find their way to legal organisations.

Mr. Anthony Royle

Mr. Lynch has announced that, in view of anxiety about the administration of money intended for relief work in Northern Ireland, an investigation would be undertaken. In these circumstances, I do not consider that representations would be appropriate.
