§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will give an assurance that the percentage of industrial development certificates allowed to the development areas 115W as a whole and to the Welsh development area, of the total number of industrial development certificates allowed in the United Kingdom will not be reduced in either case below the level at midsummer of this year.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantI see no advantage in instituting national or regional quotas for industrial development certificates. They are generally freely available in development areas, including the Welsh development area. Elsewhere applications are considered on their merits.
