asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether, in view of the Government's decision to increase the salary of the Comptroller and Auditor General from £9,800 per annum to £14,000 per annum, he will take whatever action may be necessary to increase the salaries of all personnel in the health and welfare services by 43 per cent.
