HC Deb 09 November 1970 vol 806 c70W
Mrs. Lena Jeger

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what consultations the Commissioners of Crown Lands have had with the planning authority in Camden in connection with an application to turn the White House, N.W.1, of which they are ground landlords, from flats into a hotel.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

I understand that the Crown Estate Commissioners have been in touch with the London Borough of Camden at meetings and by correspondence about the present use of the White House and the possible service of enforcement notices in respect of accommodation which is alleged to have been converted from flats to hotel use. A further meeting is due to be held. The Department for the Environment is also being kept informed.
