§ Mr. Nicholas Edwardsasked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether he is aware that telephone communications between London and other parts of the country are subject to frequent and prolonged delays; and whether he will give a general direction to the Post Office to take action to reduce such delays.
§ Mr. ChatawayThe Post Office tells me it is aware of difficulties on a minority of routes and is doing all it can to augment the trunk line system. A general direction would not be appropriate.
