Mr. Mudd

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) what quantities of bars and rods, including wire rods, angles, shapes and sections, girders, beams, joists and pillars rolled, not fabricated, including tube rounds and squared, of a steel base were used for production by the furniture and upholstery, bedding and soft furnishings, and shop and office fittings industries for the year 1968, as reported to him in the Census of Production form CP3 4720, Census of Production for 1968, and the Quarterly Inquiry, Furniture and Upholstery (4720), PQ/101;

(2) what was the total cost of bolts, rivets, nuts and washers, screws, nails, tacks, etc., used for production by the furniture and upholstery, bedding and soft furnishings, and shop and office fittings industries for the year 1968, as reported to him in the Census of Production form CP3 4720, Census of Production for 1968, and the Quarterly Inquiry, Furniture and Upholstery (4720), PQ/101.
