HC Deb 05 November 1970 vol 805 c420W
Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many industrial training centres will be opened in the next five years; and how many places will then be made available.

Mr. Dudley Smith

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my right hon. Friend to the hon. Member for the High Peak (Mr. Le Marchant) on 4th November. The programme he announced will increase the number of training places in Government training centres to about 14,000 by 1975. It has not yet been decided how many new centres we shall need to set up.—[Vol. 805, c. 383–384.]
