§ Mr. Anthony GrantFollowing the successful prosecution of the master of the vessel responsible for the spillage which led to the fire, it was decided not to order a formal investigation. However, experts from the Department and the Home Office have studied the circumstances of the accident and have held meetings with the parties concerned. A number of measures have been taken to reduce the risk of another such accident and we are considering the wider application of the lessons that have been learnt.
