§ 21. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now instruct the Land Commission to abandon the pursuit of claims for betterment levy against companies which are unable to pay them without going into liquidation.
§ Mr. Graham PageNo. The Commission has a duty to collect betterment levy in respect of transactions before 23rd July, 1970, and must be free in such cases to take whatever action is appropriate.
