HC Deb 03 November 1970 vol 805 c307W
9. Mr. Digby

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what use has been made of the British contribution to Special Drawing Rights.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

Allocations of Special Drawing Rights are made to countries in proportion to their I.M.F. quotas. Allocations to the United Kingdom are added to the official reserves and drawn on, like other reserve assets, as occasion arises.
