asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that Members of Parliament who claim reimbursement for petrol costs involved in travel between the House, designated office, and their homes, and between their homes and their constituencies are taxed on the amounts received; and why Ministers who use official cars for travel between their homes and offices and

a declining proportion of total domestic income.
