HC Deb 02 November 1970 vol 805 cc243-4W
53. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what action is being taken, following the withdrawal of Bahamas Airways from providing air communications to the Turks and Caicos Islands, to grant to Air Caicos, as applied for six months ago, formal authority to establish permanent routes between Miami and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and from the Turks and Caicos Islands, as have been agreed to by the authorities in Washington.

Mr. Noble

The United States authorities are considering our request for rights which would allow Air Caicos to fly to United States territory. We are seeking a quick response.
