HC Deb 02 November 1970 vol 805 c288W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is aware that to meet current United States legislation on air pollution a British firm, the name of which has been sent to him, has invented a carburetter limiting exhaust fumes and thus preventing the pollution of the atmosphere; and whether he will take steps to see that these are introduced gradually, and eventually generally, to all British-made vehicles.

Mr. Peyton

I am aware of this device and am at present considering the possibility of further controls on vehicle exhaust fumes.
