Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what steps his Department have taken to make the availability of the empty factory in Catrine, Ayrshire, widely known to industry.

The Department's Office for Scotland bring the premises to the notice of suitable enquiring industrialists on every possible occasion.

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will state the progress of the advanced factory at Masonhill, Ayrshire; and if he will give the completion date.

Mr. Noble

Construction of the Mosshill advance factory started in September, 1970, and it is expected that it will be ready for occupation by about May, 1971.
