HC Deb 02 November 1970 vol 805 cc274-5W
Mr. Alexander Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he intends to revise the present regulations regarding warning systems about dangerous foods for people on anti-depressant drugs.

Mr. Alison

There are no regulations governing the issue of such warnings, which are mainly a matter for doctors prescribing these drugs: advice has been given by the Committee on Safety of Drugs about diet and monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Warning cards are available to doctors from manufacturers, and I understand that the pharmaceutical and medical professions are consulting about cards for issue when such drugs are dispensed.
