Mr. Carol Johnson

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what steps he is taking to ensure that opponents of the Ringway 2 Motorway scheme have made available to them, before the public inquiry on the Greater London Development Plan, detailed information, already in the possession of the Greater London Council, in regard to the proposed route, and also the intersections and widening of secondary roads which will form part of the scheme, without which information it would not be possible for them adequately to prepare their case.

Mr. Greenwood:

As I informed the House on 15th May, the main inquiry into the Greater London Development Plan will start on 6th October but will be preceded by a short session on 7th July to deal with procedural matters. Objectors should make representations at this session about the disclosure of information which they consider they need. Individual objectors have been informed accordingly in the notices giving details of the inquiry arrangements.
