asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the natural increase in the Scottish population, and the estimated actual increase during 1969, or for the latest period of 12 months for which figures are available.

Mr. Ross:

The natural increase for the period from mid–1968 to mid–1969 was 30,300, and the estimated increase in the home population for the same period was 7,200.
