Mr. Channon

asked the Minister of Overseas Development if she will publish a table showing the total flow of official overseas aid as a proportion of gross national product for 1963 and 1969.

Mrs. Hart:

The official flows which count towards the U.N.C.T.A.D. aid target are net of amortisation. Gross figures are, however, also stated below.

The gross aid programme in 1968 was £203 million; and in 1969 £211 million.
