HC Deb 29 May 1970 vol 801 c604W
Mr. Tilney

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will discuss with other Commonwealth external Ministers the proposal to introduce a Commonwealth Medal for those who have given outstanding services to the Commonwealth.

Mr. Foley:

I would prefer to wait until there is evidence of the general interest in such a medal to which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister referred in the reply he gave the hon. Member on this subject on 19th November, 1968.—[Vol. 773, c. 1108.]
