§ Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will give a complete list of grants awarded by the Welsh Sports Council to organisations in Cardiff for the years 1968–69 and 1969–70.

The Welsh Sports Council does not award grants. It advises me of its assessment of the priorities to be given to the various applications made.
The following grants were made:
Capital grants 1968–69 Nil. 1969–70 National Sports Centre for Wales £640,000 Welsh Rugby Union—Cardiff Arms Park £33,000 Capital grants to voluntary organisations 1968–69 Nil. 1969–70 Newport and Cardiff sub aqua club £252 Dolphin sub aqua club. £248
