HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 c521W
Mr. Kenneth Baker

asked the Secretary of State for Defence when he proposes to alter the Forces Family Pensions Scheme so that the widows of soldiers who left the service before 1950 and who were below the rank of warrant officer will receive a pension as of right, as do the widows of officers and warrant officers.

Mr. Richard:

The reasons for not extending entitlement retrospectively in schemes of this kind were given by my right hon. Friend in the course of the Adjournment debate on 23rd January, 1970.—[Vol. 794, c. 967–72.]
