§ Mr. Crawshawasked the Minister of Overseas Development whether she will notify potential students in Rhodesia that she will give grant-aid to such individual students acceptable to the universities in the United Kingdom but presently residing in Rhodesia so that they can make arrangements to come to this country with the certainty of financial help on arrival.

§ Mrs. Hart:No. The British Government participate fully in the special Commonwealth Programme for assisting the education of Rhodesian Africans outside Rhodesia and, in addition, provide awards under the Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme for post-graduate studies for which Rhodesians resident in Rhodesia are eligible to apply. I am at present considering how we can best give further help.
