Fast systems 123

The cumulative cost of fusion programmes is estimated as £48 million. Final figures will be given in the annual report for 1969–70. Expenditure on other work in support of power reactors and their fuel, on applied nuclear and underlying research work is not broken down into separate programmes. Particulars of defence research cannot be given.
