HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 c550W
Mr. David Howell

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications when he expects to receive the Post Office Report and Accounts for 1969–70; and when these will be available to the House.

Mr. Stonehouse:

I expect to receive the Report and Accounts for the first half of the year, that is, to 30th September, 1969—up to which date the Post Office was a Government Department—early in July, and will lay them before the House as soon as possible after that. I am assured that preparation of the Report and Accounts covering the remainder of the year is well advanced, but it is too soon to say when I can expect to receive them.
