Sir B. Rhys Williams

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what is the current annual cost of running the Executive and Professional Register, expressed as an average per man placed in regular employment.

Mr. Dell:

About £77 in the 1969–70 financial year.

Sir B. Rhys Williams

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what proposals she has for expanding the service provided by the Executive and Professional Register, in regard to vacancies at salaries of £3,000 a year and over.

Mr. Dell:

There is a continuing programme of improvements in staffing, staff training, premises, methods and procedures designed to improve the work of the Professional and Executive Register at all levels of salary. Four new offices of the register are planned to open this year.
