HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 c503W
Mr. Judd

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will make a statement on the latest negotiations between his Department and Portsmouth City Council on the introduction of comprehensive education in the city, with special reference to the number of places awarded by the city to independent and direct grant schools.

Mr. Edward Short:

I have had no discussions with the Portsmouth Local Education Authority about secondary reorganisation since I approved its plan in June, 1969.
