HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 c523W
Mr. Rankin

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the extent to which British-owned islands in the Caribbean have been used by Cuban exile organisations to launch attacks on Cuba in order to overthrow the established Government.

Mr. Luard:

I have seen no substantive evidence that British islands in the Caribbean have been used as bases for attacks on Cuba designed to overthrow the established Government. Certainly this is an activity which Her Majesty's Government would not tolerate.
