Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Minister of Technology when he now estimates supplies of coke and smokeless fuels will meet demand, in view of difficulties encountered by local authorities operating smokeless fuel policies.

Mr. Alan Williams:

My right hon. Friend the Paymaster-General pointed out in the House on 9th April that there is likely to be a tight position next winter. The position should ease thereafter.—[Vol. 799, c. 877–9.]
