HC Deb 27 May 1970 vol 801 cc478-9W
Mr. Brooks

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will publish a list of those voluntary organisations which care for the handicapped, and which work, in collaboration with his Department, in the Wirral Peninsula; what financial assistance they receive from official sources within the National Health Service; and whether he has any plans to facilitate their work in the future.

Dr. John Dunwoody:

I am sending my hon. Friend a list of the 63 national and local voluntary bodies understood by my Department to be giving services to the handicapped in the Wirral Peninsula in collaboration with the county and county borough councils, from which most of them receive financial or other help. I am anxious that this kind of co-operation should increase.
