Mr. David Howell

asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will give a breakdown of all civil servants at present employed in the rank of Permanent Under-Secretary, showing the number who were aged under 40 years, between 40 and 45 years, 46 and 49 years, 50 and 55 years, and 55 and 60 years at the time they were appointed to the rank, and a similar breakdown in respect of their age structure on 1st May, 1970.
