HC Deb 15 May 1970 vol 801 c415W
Mr. Malcolm MacMillan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress is being made with the provision of vehicle ferries to serve the Islands of Eriskay, Berneray and Vatersay on the lines recommended in the Report of the Highland Transport Board in 1967.

Mr. Ross:

No proposals for the introduction of vehicle ferry services to Eriskay, Berneray or Vatersay have been put to me by Inverness County Council, which is responsible in the first instance for deciding whether the provision of such services would be justified.
