Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to enable patients to be visited in the Central Middlesex and Willesden General Hospitals after 14th June when the public transport bus service which served these hospitals previously is due to be cancelled.

Mr. Crossman:

I understand that service number 187A is being withdrawn, but that the route will be substantially covered by service number 112 in conjunction with service number 187 which is being augmented. I am asking the hospital authority to report on the situation as it affects visitors.
