§ 56. Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Minister for the Civil Service when he will make a further statement on the Report of the National Board for Prices and Incomes on the Pay of Government Industrial Employees.
§ Mr. Shore:As I said on 29th April in answer to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Portsmouth, West (Mr. Judd), the first priority is to negotiate with the trade union side a pay settlement based on the relevant recommendations in N.B.P.I. Report No. 146. A meeting of the Joint Co-ordinating Committee for Government Industrial Establishments has been arranged for 27th May, but I cannot predict when it will be possible to announce the outcome of these negotiations.
