HC Deb 13 May 1970 vol 801 c306W
Mr. Arthur Pearson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what conclusions he has reached regarding the report of the working party set up to consider the issues involved in forming a University Hospital Group in the Cardiff area.

Mr. George Thomas:

The working party has reported that the establishment of a University Hospital Group in the Cardiff area is both feasible and desirable. After consulting the University of Wales and other interests concerned I have accepted their recommendations. I have today laid the Order designating the group as a university hospital.
