asked the Secretary of State for Scotland' if he will estimate the percentage loss of timber production during the winter months in Forestry Commission woodlands during each of the last two years due to British Standard Time.

Mr. Ross:

No precise estimate can be made, but the loss in timber production is not thought to be significant.
