HC Deb 11 May 1970 vol 801 c245W
Earl of Dalkeith

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will seek to obtain from local authorities in Scotland annual information concerning tree preservation orders, including such details as the number or acreage of trees involved in each order, the geographical location and the amount of compensation paid; and if he will publish the results each year as a Command Paper.

Mr. Ross:

I am considering how information about compensation payable in connection with tree preservation orders can best be collected and presented to Parliament. I do not think that collection of the other information would be justified.
