asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the current stage of discussion on a new national airport within the Severnside area.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts:

There are no current discussions on this subject. Whether there is a need in Severnside or elsewhere for a new national airport in the foreseeable future will fall to be considered when the site of the third London airport has been determined.
