§ 4. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will arrange for the payment of fees for courses conducted by the Open University to be payable monthly by banker's order or Giro payments.
§ Miss Jennie Lee:This is a matter for the university. I understand that it considered a system of monthly payments, but came to the conclusion that it would be impracticable. Payment of fees will be phased, and, after the provisional registration fee, will be made in two instalments. I shall, however, draw my hon. Friend's suggestion to the university authorities.
