HC Deb 06 May 1970 vol 801 cc114-5W
43. Rear-Admiral Morgan-Giles

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what improvements he intends to make in the scale of issue and type of winter clothing available for the British Army of the Rhine.

Mr. Richard:

Every soldier in B.A.O.R. should have a heavy wool jersey by next winter. Additionally, the whole range of combat clothing for temperate areas, including B.A.O.R., has been under review. Prototypes of improved garments have been produced and trials held.
