Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will obtain a report from the chief constable setting out the total numbers of crimes and the total numbers of crimes of violence in each year since 1964 for the Ayrshire police area.

Returns submitted by the police show that the numbers of crimes and crimes of violence made known in the Ayrshire police area in each of the years from 1964 to 1969 are as follows:
