HC Deb 04 May 1970 vol 801 cc52-3W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will obtain reports from chief constables as to the steps being taken to prevent illegal interference with the telephone service by supporters of the Anti-Apartheid Movement in their campaign against the forthcoming South African cricketing tour, using public telephone call boxes to call up the hotels, cricket grounds and others connected with the tour and leaving the telephone off when connected.

Mr. Elystan Morgan:

My right hon. Friend sees no need to ask chief constables about the steps they will take to prevent breach of the law in these respects.
