asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give the amounts available for home loans by Welsh local authorities for the last and the current financial years.

Mr. George Thomas:

£4 million was available to Welsh local authorities for lending for house purchase in the financial year 1969–70. This has been increased to £10½ million in the current financial year.
