§ Mr. Randallasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the number of health centres in the Northern Region and Gateshead, respectively; and what proposals he has to provide more health centres in these areas in the year commencing 1st April, 1970.
Dr. John Dun woody:Eleven health centres have been provided by local health authorities in the Northern Region a further six are under construction, nine more have been approved for building and plans for another 11 are under discussion. None of these is in Gateshead. Thirteen others are included in authorities' capital building programmes for 1970–71, including one in the Sunderland Road Redevelopment Area of Gateshead.
