§ Mr. Harold Walker:Owing to differences in concept, scope, methodology and presentation it cannot be assumed that the figures for different countries for the numbers of disputes and the numbers of days lost are comparable; for example, the figures for Belgium and Italy do not include losses due to workers laid off at the same establishment. The definitions used for numbers of days lost per 1,000 workers also vary and too much significance cannot be attached to relatively small differences in the figures.
Figures for Luxembourg and for Great Britain as distinct from the United Kingdom, are not available.
