HC Deb 04 May 1970 vol 801 cc54-5W
Mr. Wiggin

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will hasten his decision in the Brent Knoll inquiry, in view of the concern of many residents there, and the distress and possible financial loss to Mr. Bond.

Mr. Greenwood:

I expect to issue my decision in this case very soon.

Mr. Wiggin

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government why he has required four months to come to a decision in the matter of the Brent Knoll inquiry; and why the Inspector produced his report in two months.

Mr. Greenwood:

The technical evidence in the Brent Knoll case is complex and has required careful evaluation. The hon. Member will appreciate that in the periods he mentions other cases, no less urgent, have also had to be dealt with.
