§ Mr. Elystan MorganI have no evidence of any general shortage of remand home places in Lancashire. Letters were received from seven juvenile courts about shortages of places at different times in different areas. Where appropriate, these were brought to the attention of the local authorities concerned, with whom responsibility rests for providing remand homes. 33 more places should be available by the end of March, 1971.
