§ Mr. Randallasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how much was spent, during the last 12 months for which figures are available, from public funds on the youth service in Gateshead; if he will list the youth centres, assisted, the amount given to each, and the number of youth leaders at present employed; and what number of young people use the service and facilities provided.
§ Miss LestorGateshead L.E.A. spent £17,000 on the Youth Service in 1968–69. Youth centres assisted and amounts involved in the same year were:

The number of young people using the service is estimated at 4,000.
