HC Deb 24 March 1970 vol 798 c379W
131. Mr. Arthur Davidson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the South African and Zambian Governments with regard to the decision of the Rhodesian illegal régime to declare that country a republic.

Mr. Foley

None. The South African and Zambian Governments are doubtless aware of our views on this further illegal action by the régime in Southern Rhodesia. These have been expressed in the House and at the United Nations.

132. Mr. Molloy

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the latest situation concerning Rhodesia.

Mr. Foley

I have nothing to add to what my right hon. Friend said in answer to Questions by the hon. Member for Oswestry (Mr. Biffen) and others on 2nd March.—[Vol. 797, c. 11–15.]
