HC Deb 24 March 1970 vol 798 c398W
Captain Kerby

asked the President of the Board of Trade what has been the total cash loss to public funds to date, under all headings, of the firemen's and other recent disputes, which now threaten the total shut-down of London's Heathrow Airport.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

It is not possible to give detailed authoritative figures at this stage. Rough estimates suggest that net income loss to the British Airports Authority, the Air Corporations and the Board of Trade is probably of the order of half a million pounds.
