HC Deb 24 March 1970 vol 798 cc331-2W
Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Transport how many large potholes there are on the A30 between Exeter and Launceston.

Mr. Bob Brown

Our agent authorities carry out regular inspections. No large potholes were reported following the inspections made this month but a number of small potholes resulting from the recent bad weather were made good.

Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Transport how many sections of the A30 between Exeter and Launceston are slippiing away.

Mr. Bob Brown

None, but four sections of road are known to require strengthening and investigations for remedial works are in hand.

Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Transport how many places on the A30 between Exeter and Launceston, where contractors have dug up the road, need now to be filled in and made good.

Mr. Bob Brown

Trenches have been opened by statutory undertakers recently in 5 places, 4 of which have been temporarily re-instated. The remaining one is still being worked by the contractor.
